How to Become an EMT in Idaho Roadmap

Step 1: Make sure you meet the prerequisites

There are several prerequisites to becoming an EMT including make sure that you are 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and possessing a high school diploma or GED.

 

Step 2: Enroll in EMT training course

Step 3: Study, Study, Study

This is the hardest step of how to become an EMT in Idaho. EMT training requires you study. You will be given weekly written exams. You need 80% to pass. There is 80 to 100 questions. Each one is multiple choice. You also will have practical skills tests. These require 100 percent to pass.

 

Step 4: Pass National Registry Exam
